Background & Bio

Whether he is advocating for a high-stakes economic investment or navigating the relationship between his organization and global media partners, Casey Angel believes that every great achievement begins with a single, clear narrative.

As a global communications and public affairs leader, Casey has spent well over a decade at the intersection of media, government, and business. His career is defined by an ability to take the most complex projects, from intricate infrastructure developments to federal investment strategies, and translate them into stories that inspire action and build consensus.

Casey currently serves as the Head of Corporate Communications for Lumos Fiber, part of the T-Mobile family, where he leads the narrative for one of the fastest-growing broadband providers in the United States. In this role, he champions the mission of digital equity, helping guide the company through high-profile expansions - including a landmark 2025 joint venture with T-Mobile - and ensuring that thousands of homes across the Midwest and Eastern U.S. gain access to future-ready fiber technology.

Before his tenure at Lumos, Casey was the Director of Global Communications at Longfellow Real Estate Partners, the world's largest privately held developer of life science ecosystems. During this time, he acted as a key strategist at the intersection of media and government, securing project approvals across the United States and United Kingdom while shaping the team’s communications and media strategies.

To date, his leadership in government advocacy and global outreach has helped secure approvals for over $7 billion in project value across the United States, the United Kingdom, Mainland Europe, and India as he bridges the gap between business objectives and community benefit. During these transformational projects, he has presented and testified before governing bodies throughout the world.

His career is a masterclass in versatile leadership as he has led communications and public affairs for Realtor Associations, navigated the political landscapes of state and national committees, and championed the mission of Habitat for Humanity. This breadth of experience has given him a unique perspective: he understands that true influence isn't just about what you say, but how you align the interests of diverse stakeholders toward a common goal.

His commitment to excellence has earned him significant industry recognition. He has been honored as the Corporate Philanthropy Executive of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal, 2025 Trailblazer by Business North Carolina Magazine, and Outstanding PR Executive by the San Diego Business Journal, among others. A proud graduate of the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute and University of Mary Washington, Casey is also a consistent advocate for international communications, recognized as a #PRComms leader by the global outlet, We Lead Comms.

Beyond the boardroom, Casey is driven by a deep sense of community purpose. He has served on the board of CASA NC, where he focuses on expanding affordable housing in North Carolina, Advisory Council for The George Washington School of Business, Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors, as well as the Board of Adjustment for the Town of Apex, North Carolina.
